    Jet Set Six

Jet Set Six were a swing jazz septet out of Jersey City, New Jersey who played mainly around the New York City metropolitan area. The band was comprised of members John Ceparano (Lead Vocals & Guitar); Josef Pelletier (Double Bass & Vocals); David Berger (Drums & Vocals); Steve Gluzband (Trumpet); J. Walter Hawkes (Trombone & Vocals); Jim Jedeikin (Tenor Sax) and David Detweiler (Tenor Sax). Although the band is associated with the retro swing movement and it artist, the sound of Jet Set Six had more of a late fifties to early sixties Vegas lounge sensibility with its bright and energetic horn sections while its rhythm section pounded out jump-blues beats with gusto. The band recorded only two releases, which were "Livin' It Up" (1998, Mutiny Records) and the self-released "Life in the Jet Age" in 2001. The band has since broken up and the members have gone their separate ways.
