Brother of Dorothy Combs Morrison, William Franck Combs, and Shirley Combs.
He starred in an L.A. production of Galt MacDermot's hit musical play "Hair", which led him to later choreograph the show. He also sang and played guitar in the family band The Combs Family Singers.
