Jeff Nelson is the co-founder and co-owner of the Washington, DC-based [l=Dischord Records]. Between 1980 and 1992, he drummed for a number of bands, including the Teen Idles, Minor Threat, 3, and The High-Back Chairs. In 1992, he left the High-Back Chairs and decided to retire from performing. In that time, he concentrated on Dischord as well as a smaller label he started called [l=Adult Swim Records]. In 2003, Jeff left Washington, DC for Toledo, Ohio, although he still retains his stake in Dischord. In recent years, he returned to performing, playing drums for Fast Piece of Furniture.
