Jeanne Baxtresser

American classical flautist (born 2 August 1947 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania). She played as Principal Flautist with the Montreal Symphony beginning in 1969 and later Principal Flute with the Toronto Symphony beginning in 1976. She joined the New York Philharmonic as its first female Principal Flute in 1981 before retiring in 1998.
