Illustrious unknown french composer. The first name "Jean" refers to his son Sainte Colombe Le Fils named Jean de Sainte-Colombe Le Jeune (the younger). The historians can't say for certain his first name, his birth and death (about 1640-1700). The only thing we know is that Mr de Sainte-Colombe wroten 177 pièces for one viol and 67 for two viols and Marin Marais was his student.
