Jane Russell (born June 21, 1921, Bemidji, Minnesota, USA - died February 28, 2011, Santa Maria, California, USA) was an American film actress and singer, active in motion pictures in the 1940's and 1950's, later appearances, although scarce, included television roles. In 1954, Russell formed a gospel quartet with Connie Haines, Beryl Davis, and Della Russell. In October 1957, she debuted in a successful solo nightclub act at the undefined and then toured the USA, Canada, Mexico, South America, and Europe.
