    Jackie Cooper (born September 15, 1922, Los Angeles, California, USA – died May 3, 2011, Santa Monica, California, USA) was an American actor, television director, producer and executive. He was a child actor who managed to make the transition to an adult career. He was briefly married to Hildy Parks from 1950 until their divorce in 1951. Nephew of Norman Taurog and Rouben Mamoulian. Having become an adept drummer as a teenager, he spent part of the war playing drums in a band formed by former civilian bandleader Claude Thornhill that played bases in the South Pacific.
