    1940s-1970s country artist, songwriter, and label owner from Regina, Kentucky.


    Born in Regina, Kentucky. Eventually started playing music on the radio in Kentucky around 1946. Began writing music around 1958. Wrote "Kentucky School Bus" which was later revised and recorded as "No School Bus In Heaven" by the Stanley Brothers. In 1960, he moved to Cincinnati, started the undefined label, and got more into gospel music. In 1975 he moved back to Kentucky and ran a record shop and recording facility near Elkhorn City.
