J.C. Sutphin

Fiddle and banjo player. Born in Patrick County, VA Feb. 14th, 1885. Worked as a logger and miner most of his life. In 1912 he made commercial recordings for the Edison Company and in the 1920's, recorded for Okeh. Played with Charlie Poole at times.
