Izrael was one of the most popular and influential Polish alternative bands. It was formed in March 1983 in Warsaw by two Polish underground musicians: Robert Brylewski (formerly of Brygada Kryzys) and Paweł Kelner (formerly of Deuter).


Years active: 1983–1995 and 2006–2018.
On June 3rd 2018 the band leader Robert Brylewski passed away.
