Irit Dekel

Irit Dekel grew up in Haifa, and today lives in Tel-Aviv. Since she can remember herself, she was attracted to music and the performing arts area: As a child, she was singing in the school choir, and played on different instruments, such as flute and keyboards. She studied art and acting in high-school, and in 2004 studied at the “Jerusalem visual theater”, in the school of the performing arts. In 2007 she was accepted to the prestigious School of the performing arts, “Beit Zvi”. Even after graduating the formal frameworks of the performing arts, Irit continued to study it intensively by a private teachers. She was taking singing lessons and voice training, and professionalized at the same time in various musical styles: Classical, jazz, musicals, Ladino and Ladino romances. Since 2011 Irit is a part of a musical group, “Boana A`banot”, which is performed with new versions of Chava Alberstein`s songs.
