Ikuma Dan (1924–2001) was a Japanese composer. During his career Ikuma completed six symphonies, all recorded and released on the Decca label in Japan. He graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1946, studying with Kosaku Yamada among others. One of his best known works is a 1951 opera Yūzuru (Twilight Crane). In 1997, Ikuma Dan wrote Takeru opera for the opening of New National Theatre in Tokyo, Japan's main opera house.
