Australian band, originally formed in 1977 as Flowers and sounding very much like Roxy Music, the band started by playing covers of the latter together with T-Rex, David Bowie and the like...
The first album Icehouse was released under the moniker of Flowers. On signing to Chrysalis Records in 1981, the band changed their name to the more familiar Icehouse (named after the first album) due to potential legal issues with another band also named Flowers.
