About

Danish jazz musician and big band leader, born September 27, 1934 in Copenhagen, Denmark, died April 6, 2019.

While studying trumpet at a conservatory, he led his own big band from 1951 to 1959, modeled on Stan Kenton's groups. Glindemann also became known for pioneering rock 'n' roll in Denmark. From 1958 he led the house band at the illegal commercial Radio Merkur.
