English singer songwriter, musician, technician and recording engineer, born on 28 March 1947 in Chiswick, West London (UK). Apart from his solo work (e.g. the minor hit Hold On), Gomm is perhaps most famous as rhythm guitarist with Brinsley Schwarz. When the group disbanded in 1975 Gomm moved to Wales, where he set up a recording studio. In addition to producing his own work, Gomm has recorded - among others - The Stranglers, Alexis Korner, Peter Hammill and Amon Duul. His career in later life was aided by his earlier teenage apprenticeship in mechanical and electronic engineering during his 5 years at undefined, in Hayes, Middlesex, UK.
