Forged in the North Hills of Pittsburgh in 1992 by Matt Jencik, Mat Daly and Dave "thrash" Brunger. Dan Wilson joined on second guitar in 1993 and Noah Leger (Speaking Canaries, Northern Bushmen) replaced Brunger on drums soon after. Hurl was a part of a thriving Pittsburgh music scene in the 1990's. Hurl released four 7" singles and three albums between 1992-1998 and appeared on a few compilations as well.
