Belgian philosopher, writer, scriptwriter, singer, guitarist, comedian and TV + radio maker, born in Ekeren near Antwerp on 30 January 1956. Well known for the absurd humour of his writing (e.g. in columns in Humo magazine) but also for his heavy rock alter ego Clement Peerens and for the Leugenpaleis (radio ) & Peulengaleis (TV) comedy projects with his good friend Bart Peeters. Do not confuse with the tuba player Hugo Matthijssen.
