    Huff & Herb

Ben Langmaid also released several tracks as "Huff & Puff" with the collaboration of Roland Armstrong. Info from archive web "Combine the musical styles of Blues and funky House, fuse them together by whipping up a whirlwind of ambient sounds set to a rocking beat, then charge them up with the musical of Huff & Herb - the result is explosive, it's `Up On The Blue' and with a cleverly appropriate title that's just what it is - uplifting, on it and the Blues like you've never heard before! Huff & Herb gently eased themselves into the limelight a few months ago with the highly acclaimed, beautifully atmosphere `Feeling Good' featuring the legendary vocals of Nina Simone. `Up On The Blue' comes as their follow up single, and it won't disappoint their already convinced fans. Huff & Herb have cornered a unique sound by their two very different musical histories. Ben Langmaid (alias Huff ) previously made his home with Rollo at the Cheeky label. Here Ben released his work under the name Atomic, working on remixes such as `Shine' for Space Brothers and Hyper Go Go's `High' and his own release `Drop into Madness'. Ben also worked in partnership with Rollo as Huff & Puff producing club hits such as `Help Me Make It' which smashed into the National top 40 on skyway last year. A short time after, Ben introduced Rollo to long time friends Sister Bliss and Maxie Jazz, playing an influential role in the formation of `Faithless' who remain one of the most successful collaborative dance acts to date. Alongside his producing career Ben also found time to hold a residency at the Cafe De Paris `SEX' nights. Jeff Patterson (alias Herb) has become a respected figure within the music industry since his first break in 1986 providing vocals for the band Seventh Heaven. Jeff's dulcet tones and programming skills have been utilised by an ever growing list of the finest calibre of artists including; George Clinton, Junior Morrison, Boy George, Farlery Jackmaster Funk, George Michael, Eve Gallagher, UB4O, James Ingram and the Acid Jazz label to name a few. More recently Jeff can also be recognised for his vocal contribution on the recent Healy and Amos hit `Stamp'. An excitingly diverse package of remixes come from the guys themselves experimenting with variations of the `Up On The Blue' theme, joining the wagon trail on the `Yojo Club' and `Yojo Dub' mixes the track has been uniquely transformed by Yojo Working, who have proven themselves to be a perfect choice for producing an additional two excellent remixes."
