(Yahualica de González Gallo, Jalisco, January 11, 1905 – Mexico City, January 15, 1976) Mexican musician who worked as a violinist, composer, conductor and director of cultural venues both in Guadalajara and Mexico City. He managed to be first violin with the Lener String Quartet after Jenö Lener's death.
Married to pianist Carmen Castillo Betancourt, with whom he formed a violin and piano duo. Father of Eusebio Ruvalcaba (writer, essayist, playwright) and grandfather of Alonso Ruvalcaba (writer, poet, journalist).
