Hellstorm is the brainchild of Ron White. White was an active musician since the early 70s and toured with the Brighter Side Of Darkness, The Spirit Of Atlanta, and he was also leader of the Grandstand trio. Following a UK jaunt circa 1976, he returned to San Antonio, Texas and formed Hellstorm with Fred Michaux on drums and Sahara Greer on bass. The band released a single in 1980 which was intended to precede the release of a full album; it was recorded but not issued. After their first and only gig as opener for Maze, Hellstorm officially disbanded.
