Helen Carr

American jazz vocalist and songwriter. Born 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Died 1960 in New York, New York, USA (age 37, cancer). "Carr" was her first husband's last name. Her second husband was jazz pianist [a=Donn Trenner] (until circa 1958). She sang with many orchestras including those of Charlie Barnet, Stan Kenton, Buddy Morrow, Charles Mingus, Donn Trenner and others. She is probably best known for her cover of the song "Down In The Depths (On The 90th Floor)".
