Harry Breuer was an American mallet player, percussionist, and composer.
Born : October 24, 1901 in Brooklyn, New York.
Died : June 27, 1989 in New York City, New York.
He performed as soloist using an instrument of his own design - a combination of marimba, vibraphone and xylophone.
He performed with the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra, worked for the Warner Brothers and Fox movie studios in the 1930/40s, and appeared in several short subjects and educational films during this time.
He later was a staff musician with NBC, where he remained until his retirement in the late 1970s.
Inducted into the Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame in 1980,
Breuer continued performing until his final years, in 1986 even releasing a new LP, Mallets in Wonderland.
