This Harmonica Slim is an American blues harmonica player. He first recorded as a sideman in the mid-’50s for West Coast labels like Aladdin, Spry, and Vita. Spent most of the ’60s working with Percy Mayfield, Harmonica Fats, B.B. King, T-Bone Walker and others. He finally was able to record a full album under his own name for the Bluestime label in 1969.
Others include [a=Harmonica Slim (2)] (real name [a=Andrew Parsons (2)] and [a=Harmonica Slim (3)] (real name Richard Riley Riggins). Slim Harpo (real name [a=James Moore]) also recorded under the pseudonym of "Harmonica Slim" at local nightclubs and bars earlier in his career and in 1957 released his first record as Slim Harpo.
