Grupo Naidy is South Florida-based an Afro-Colombian band led and founded by Irlando “Maky” Lopez. Mr. Lopez is from Charambira, Choco in the north Pacific Colombian coast. Maky was influenced by the traditional music of southern Pacific Colombian coast when he moved to the city of Cali in Valle del Cauca, Colombia at the age of 15. Maky got his start in the music business as a dancer with the Bogas del Pacifico, a group from Guapi, Cauca Colombia.
