    American pianist, drummer, songwriter, & producer.

    Born May 4, 1949, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, USA.
    Died March 14, 1999 (aged 49), USA.
    Brother of producer/engineer Godfrey Diamond.
    He was active in the jazz and disco music scenes of the 1970s, charting mostly on the dance charts.
    "Hot Butterfly" hit #8 dance and "Dance Little Dreamer" by Bionic Boogie, a band Diamond started, reached #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in 1978 (and #105 overall). They also hit with "Risky Changes", which hit #78 on the R&B chart in 1978. The song "Cream (Always Rises to the Top)" reached #61 in the UK Singles Chart in January 1979. "Tiger Tiger (Feel Good for a While)" hit #33 on the dance chart in 1980. All of these songs were by Bionic Boogie and all written by Diamond.
    He also charted as a solo artist with his own compositions: "Star Cruiser ", #7 dance in 1978, #57 R&B, and #103 overall. "Danger" hit #29 dance the next year on the dance charts.
