Venezuelan singer, maracas player, harpist and guitarist (b. Barquisimeto, Venezuela - d. Caracas, Venezuela, July 7, 2022). Chorus director, jingles producer. Peña started his musical sudies on "Escuela Popular de Música de Barquisimeto" (1954). After that, Peña moved to Caracas where studied clarinet with the teacher Daniel Milano (1968 - 1973), on "Escuela de Capacitación Roberto Marcano", continuing his musical formation on the schools "Juan Manuel Olivares", "Lino Gallardo" and "José Lorenzo Llamosas" with reputed proffesors as Ángel Sauce, Atilio Ferraro, [a=Fedora Alemán], Anita Fernaud and Alberto Grau. He took an improving voice course with "Roy Hart Theatre" and "Samuel Jones Institute" (1982 - 1984). While Gonzalo Peña was studying he was working in parallel with different popular music groups as "Los Juncheros", [a=Los Cuñaos], [a=Los Naipes], [a= Adilia Castillo] and chorus gropus as [a=Schola Cantorum de Venezuela] and [a=Quinteto Cantaclaro]. Gonzalo Peña was president of SACVEN, gremialist organization in defense of authoral rights in his motherland, and developed an intersting activities as chorus director on institutions as "Banco Hipotecario de Crédito Urbano", "Universidad Simón Bolívar", "Banco de Los Trabajadores de Venezuela", "Grupo Consolidado" and many others.
