Gli Atroci

Formed in 1995 in Bologna, Gli Atroci ironize on heavy metal exasperating clichés and stereotypes both through texts both through musics. Even if their songs cannot be considered as cover, almost all contain quotations of most famous songs or are inspired by the typical sound of a specific metal band. The group look is inspired by [a153073] or [a277065]. Gli Atroci, after two self-produced demos ([r=10650020] in 1995 and [r=10649969] one year after) and numerous live performances all around Italy, released their first album in 1999 ([r=1243788]), co-produced by [a1344723]. In 2004 the band released [r=1244010] with the collaboration of [a1315272]. The third, and at the moment last, album [r=8106689] was published in 2009. On July 15, 2011, founder member and bass player of the band Oscar Bandiera, known with the pseudonym of "L'Orrendo Maniscalco", disappeared. The band decides to continue live activity, in memory of their missing friend, but no longer releasing new albums.
