    Glen Smith

Glen Smith is a keyboardist, bassist, and vocalist in rock, country, and R&B genres. Piano lessons during middle school culminated in a performance of "Fur Elise" at graduation. In high school, Glen dove deeply into the world of multi-keyboards, performing ELP's Karn Evel 9 with brothers Greg, Gordon, and Gary at his Senior HS Music Awards Show. During this time he founded Ascension along with brothers Greg and Gary, Jack Kaufmann, and Mark Kalina, recording the Ecclesiastes album featuring John Schlitt (before he was a member of Petra) on lead vocals. Glen performed two tours with The Downings, roomed with Bill Glover of Petra, and continued efforts with Ascension with Steve Stripling, resulting in the Follow The Path and The Outtakes albums. During this time, Glen produced, wrote, and/or recorded with several artists from the Central Illinois area. Subsequently, Glen received a degree in Electrical Engineering, relocated to Raleigh NC, and moved into the cover band music scene. Playing in many bands over the years, he formed Bump! as the lead vocalist, frontman, and bassist. Today, Glen performs with The Al Williams Band, Southpaw Soul, and one weekend a year with his brothers in Smith Brothers and Company since 2014. His motto is "Always keep making music. Always."
