Resides in New York City. Her mom was a pop singer in the Dominican Republic. Started off as a Youtuber singing cover songs. She signed to Universal Motown in 2010. Instead of abiding by the genre that she wanted, Universal Motown wanted her to sing pop songs. Claudette shortly dropped from the label. However, she was able to spark a long-term affiliation with songwriter and producer August Rigo. She signed to Summerchild Records during her 2014 debut album. Her influences are TLC, SWV, and Aaliyah.
