Gilli Smyth (born June 1, 1933, London, England – died August 22, 2016, Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia) was an English musician, poet and writer. She was a co-founder of the band Gong with her former partner Daevid Allen. She invented an echoing vocal style named "Space Whisper".
