Gert Timmerman (born June 8, 1935, Oldenzaal, Netherlands - died October 28, 2017, Overdinkel, Netherlands) was a Dutch singer, songwriter, producer, clarinettist, saxophonist and double bassist. In 1967, Gert started his own label under the Carpenter moniker; the English equivalent of his own last name.
