As a journalist he contributed articles to The Face, ID and Arena. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, he wrote for TV shows such as Birds of a Feather, Babes in the Wood, A Many Splintered Thing and Tonight with Jonathan Ross. He continues to work as a scriptwriter.
