King of Prussia (now part of Germany) from 1740 to 1786 and composer (English: Frederick the Great), born 24 January 1712 in Berlin and died 17 August 1786 in Potsdam. Members of his court musical establishment included Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Johann Joachim Quantz, Carl Heinrich Graun and [a1643273].
