    Adam has been a solo producer of stirring industrial and ambient music with hints of noise, experimental techno and post-punk since the late 90s/early 00s. Growing up near the rust belt city of South Bend, IN, he spent his high school years in and out of various rudimentary electronic and absurdist noise projects. Around this time he began using the name Freeze Etch to refer to his solo electronic works in progress, which became his primary musical vessel in the 00s and beyond. While promoting his first self-released EP 'Somnambulist' online, the release caught the attention of emerging UK label Fleshmadeword Records, who selected a track from it to highlight on their debut compilation album in 2002. The label rebranded as Immanence Records, and went on to release his next EP 'Helios' in 2003. These releases constituted his first international exposure. While attending college in Bloomington, IN, Adam connected with the local music community for some of his early live performances and DJ sets, self-releasing the 'Pejorative' EP in 2007. He then connected with Boston label Force Of Nature Productions, who released his first full-length album 'Vessels' in 2008, and collected content from the 'Helios' and 'Pejorative' EPs for digital reissue in 2009. He did some remixing and compilation appearances around this time, including contributing 2 tracks to Chicago-based Tympanik Audio's debut compilation album. After moving back to South Bend and going on a temporary hiatus, 2017 saw the release of the odds-and-ends collection 'Not Today' by Boston label Voidstar Productions, as well as his return to live performance, culminating in his second proper full-length album (2020's 'All Context Vanishes'). The COVID years were spent on many remix collaborations, and an expanded and remastered version of 'All Context Vanishes' was released by Providence-based Component Recordings in 2023. He resumed live performance and DJing in the post-COVID era, including curating the CAULDRON event series in South Bend.
