Fred Giannelli

About

American electronic musician, born 1960 in Lowell, Massachusetts, USA. He began experimenting with electronics in the late 1970s as Turning Tranz, but a 1984 meeting with Psychic TV's Genesis P. Orridge at his local radio station changed his direction. By 1988, Giannelli was part of the group, working on "Techno Acid Beat," and "Kondole." He gradually separated himself from Psychic TV and began working on the Plus 8 label with Richie Hawtin as Spawn. Under the Plus 8 banner, he later formed the Telepathic label for his own industrial/techno recordings as the Acid Didj, Giannelli, Deneuve and Mazdaratti (which are collected on Telepathic's Telepathic Wisdom, Vol. 1.)
