Tom Christie started the recording project Fraternal Twin in 2013 in New Paltz, New York, as an umbrella to finally place over years of songs. Skin Gets Hot was his first studio release under the name. What started as a solo venture became a collaboration of friends from the greater New York DIY music scene. The band is now established as a trio, with Christie on guitars, David Grimaldi on bass and Max Restaino on drums.
