František Xaver Pokorný

Czech Classical era composer and violinist (20 December 1729, Městec Králové, Czechia – 2 July 1794, Regensburg, Germany). In 1753 he went to Mannheim where he further studied with Jan Václav Stamic among others. he wrote nearly 150 symphonies, many works for wind instruments and tens of solo concertos including 45 for harpsichord.
