Francisco Fiorentino Y Su Orquesta Típica

Nueva Guardía Tango orchestra founded by Francisco Fiorentino and pianist Orlando Goñi, and other ex-members of Aníbal Troilo Y Su Orquesta Típica.

Within a few weeks Goñi would quit due to alcoholism and arrangement roles were taken over by Astor Piazzolla. The orchestra formally debuted in September 2, 1944.
The distinguishing element of this Orchestra, by hand of Piazzolla, was the introduction of the 3-3-2 rhythmic notation instead of the 2/4 typical of Nueva Guardía Tango.
    Active September 1944 - May 1946. Altogether it released 12 two-sided 78RPM records.
