Gothic/Doom/Death Metal from Sweden, formed 1997 Forest of Shadows was formed in 1997 by Niclas Frohagen and was initially intended to be a solo-project. When he found a loyal companion in Micce Andersson in 1998 thoughts of forming a full band arose and manifested. But many times the line-up changed in the 2 following years and eventually the band turned into the initial one man formation. By then 2 demos and 2 promos had been released and a deal with Rage of Achilles was signed to re-release the second demo "When Dreams Turn to Dust" as an MCD. This deal also encompasses a full-length album titled "Departure" that was released in Autumn 2004 appeared on "Tribute To Katatonia: December Songs" with cover of "Rainroom".
