Blues singer and harmonica player, born July 10, 1926 in Hughes, Arkansas, died April 3, 1960 in Horseshoe Lake, Arkansas, following a car crash.
During the 1940s he worked with Big Joe Williams in St. Louis, recorded for Aristocrat/Chess in Chicago in 1949, and appeared in radio from West Memphis with Sonny Boy Williamson and Howlin' Wolf the same year. Back in Arkansas, he was again recorded by Alan Lomax in 1959.
