American singer/songwriter originally from Rockville, MD. He originally released music under the moniker J. Tillman, and adopted the pseudonym Father John Misty for the 2012 album Fear Fun. He has released five further studio albums using this pseudonym, I Love You, Honeybear in 2015, Pure Comedy in 2017, God's Favorite Customer in 2018, Chloë And The Next 20th Century in 2022 and Mahashmashana in 2024. His close collaborator and co-producer for his albums has been Jonathan Wilson.
