    A fictional family in Denmark first appearing as a cartoon in 1948 and then in at least four cast incarnations in 15 films spanning 7 decades. The 1953 to 1961 cast and movies represent the golden era of this fictional family and the most popular films also launched a number of hit songs composed by the most consecutive hit maker in Danish film in the 50's, Sven Gyldmark. This cast was:


    Far, played by Ib Schønberg in the first two movies, then replaced by Karl Stegger
    Søs, played by Birgitte Bruun
    [a=Ole (16)], played by Otto Møller Jensen
    Mie, played by Rudi Hansen
    Lille Per, played by Ole Neumann. He pursued a musical career after his film child stardom with Ole Neumann And His Newmen
    Other characters from this cast also performing on record includes "Peter" (Ib Mossin), Lisa, "Onkel Anders" (Peter Malberg), "Lille Grete" (Then Norwegian child star Grethe Kausland).

    The third to play Far in a less successful 1971 sequel was Helge Kjærulff-Schmidt.

    In 2005 Far til Fire surfaced again and in six films between 2005 and 2012 the cast included Niels Olsen as "Far" and Jess Ingerslev as "Onkel Anders"

    A 15th 2014 film is scheduled
