After Ray Fenwick had sessioned with producer [a63150], and bassist Mo Foster (on different sessions), Hurst invited Fenwick to produce a new version of the Troggs number, 'Wild Thing'. The three of them got together, and after recruiting drummer Henry Spinetti, and singer Helen Caunt, they recorded their version. To the surprise of all concerned, the track was a hit in the U.S. charts and they quickly came under pressure to produce a follow-up, then an album. However, Caunt was deemed increasingly unsuitable and was replaced by Annie Kavanagh, who'd been lead in the London performance of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. In early 1974, they hit the U.S. charts for a second time with 'Touch Me', but it was clear to Hurst that Atlantic weren't going to support the band, so he "pulled out of the deal". in the summer of 1974, newly signed to Arista, and now with Les Binks on drums, they embarked on their U.S. tour. During this tour they supported several acts, including: [a153073], [a343684], and [a98528]. They continued touring, and in early 1975 they also supported [a39775] at the [l264367], in London. There were to be several more releases, but their former success in the States eluded them. The band fizzled-out in 1976. Ray Fenwick went on to record with, and then join the [a382114].
