Born in Antigua, Eugene Paul first started his singing career in his home town. He sang in the village school choir. He then started his recording career as soon as he arrived in England in the seventies on the Pama label, where he recorded some of his early hits which made him a household name here and around the world. He has recorded hits like ''Farewell My Darling'', ''Don't Let The Tears Fall'' and many more. He also sang under the name Jimmy Shondell with the song ''Snake In The Grass'', and as Al Cook with ''Boy Wonder'', lngram Makchba with ''Dread Mood'' and as Candy with ''Ace Of Hearts''. He has recorded on such labels as Trojan, Jama, Ethnic, Dib, Bush, Bushay, Gull, World lnternational and others. He formed his own label undefined Records (named after his birthplace) in the eighties. He has recorded various types of music across the board, Soul, Reggae, Pop and Soca. A prolific songwriter, Eugene has written numerous and most of his songs -''Why Soca so'', ''Remember There's An lsland'' on the Sun Burn label for ''Smokey Joe''. He has also performed in the hit stage show ''Black Heroes In The Hall Of Fame'', where he played his idol, the great Sam Cooke, who he closely resembles in style. He also played Sam Cooke in another stage show ''Reet Petite'', the story of Jackie Wilson.
He has toured extensively throughout Europe, the Caribbean and North America. Perfect for Cabaret and concerts Eugene will be in demand for many years.
