He has performed as a soloist and with many chamber and orchestral ensembles throughout Europe and the United States (he is the founder of the New York Miniaturist Ensemble and a member of the Momenta Quartet, VisionIntoArt, The Trinity Bach Players and the Talea Ensemble). Numerous composers have written works for him, including Karlheinz Stockhausen, Charles Wuorinen, Tom Johnson, and Georges Aperghis. He also performs with poets, dancers, actors, and film. He has recorded for the Tzadik, Albany, Bridge, and Matador labels.
