Enzo Scoppa

Italian tenor and soprano saxophonist and composer. Born in Rome in 1934, he began studying music at 17, improving his studies supervised by Ivan Vandor. In 1956 he had his first jazz experiences and in 1958 he officially came out with the [a368088]. His first musical experiences were the San Remo and St. Vincent Jazz Festivals of 1961. He performed at Comblain La Tour and Montreaux Festivals as well as in many other concerts with the Scoppa-Santucci Quintent. Besides playing with several jazz groups or with many artists (such as Kenny Clarke, Romano Mussolini, Alberto Collatina, Marcello Rosa or Eddy Palermo), he's always been part of the Nunzio Rotondo Band with which he attended festivals in Pescara, Padova, Bergamo or Ischia and many concerts.
