[b]Ensemble Noamnesia[/b] is an American contemporary music group from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1987 by [a=Gene Coleman]. With a flexible and constantly changing lineup of up to 20 musicians picked by Coleman on a project-by-project basis, Noamnesia premiered and commissioned hundreds of new compositions. The group's repertoire primarily focuses on European composers that are still relatively underrepresented in the USA, such as [a=Luc Ferrari], [a=Luciano Berio], [a=Gerhard Stäbler], [a=Mathias Spahlinger], [a=Salvatore Sciarrino], [a=Karlheinz Essl], [a=Helmut Lachenmann], [a=Vinko Globokar], and [a=Bernhard Gál].
