Formed in 1966, in the Washington D.C. area by the two brothers [a=Chris Grimes] and [a=Doug Grimes] plus [a=Punky Meadows], Larry Gray and David Alves. Initially they were called The Intruders. In 1968, they changed the group name to Cherry People
