Emmett Williams (born April 4, 1925, Greenville, South Carolina, USA – died February 14, 2007, Berlin, Germany) was an American concrete poet and painter. He was married to the British visual artist Ann Noël. He relocated to Germany in the 1950's, he worked closely with Claus Bremer and Daniel Spoerri. In 1962 he became a Fluxus artist and remained as one of their number until he died. Throughout his life, he published a small number of books, however is generally better known for his "Anthology of Concrete Poetry."
