Pop/psychedelic rock band from Monterrey, Mexico, formed in the late 60's.
In their early beginnings they were a trio called 'Los Pájaros'. By 1970, after meeting and starting a collaboration with producer and manager Omero, they changed their name to 'El Amor', formed by Jorge Alberto Vallejo (drums), Miguel Cardenas (requinto guitar, vocals) and Rogelio Gonzalez (bass, vocals). By 1972 they became a quartet when Oscar Vallejo (keyboards, guitar, bass, vocals) joined.
They became known outside of Monterrey since their performance at the renowned 1971 'Festival Rock y Ruedas de Avándaro' (also known as 'Festival de Avándaro' or simply 'Avándaro'), where they played their best-known song "Te Amo Más", which they recorded both in English and Spanish.
